Stop guessing at auction.

See what every Copart car is worth to you before you bid: how well its parts sell, what each part sells for after the damage, and the most you can bid at your own numbers. Then see whether each car you won made what it should.

Most auction cars are bought on a guess.

With so many cars going through the salvage auctions every week, nobody can price every part of every car before it reaches the block. So most buyers price the one big part, usually the engine, and hope the rest of the car sells.

That guess misses the damage, the parts that hardly sell, and what the car's parts are worth to your yard. It is how a car that looks cheap turns into one that takes a year to pay back, and how the good cars go to someone else.

Every car valued while the auction runs.

Add the POXA Breaker Value extension to Chrome and sign in with your POXA account. When you uncover a car's VIN or reg on Copart UK, on its lot page or in a live auction, that is the search: POXA values the car on the page, with nothing to copy or type.

It checks every part against the car's auction photos, prices each one from recent UK sales after the damage, and shows how well the parts sell. Your own buying numbers then give you Buy or Pass, and the most you can bid and still make your profit.

A typical car takes about half a minute, so uncover the cars coming up while the one on the block is selling.

  1. The VIN or reg. Uncover it on a lot page or in a live auction. That starts the search.
  2. Photo check. Every part is checked against the car's auction photos. Damaged parts come out.
  3. Parts demand. How well the parts sell, out of 10 for the car and part by part.
  4. Every part priced. Each part priced from recent UK sales, after the damage.
  5. Buy or Pass. Your target profit and costs give the most you can bid, inc or ex VAT.
  6. Won or Lost. Every car lands in Auctions, so each car you win is tracked against its sales.

Planned: Your own stock: parts you already hold will come out of the sum, so you only pay for the parts you need.

One car on the block: a 2020 Ford Fiesta ST-Line.

It is a Cat B with front end damage and it does not run. Its engine alone sells for £1,573, so on a guess it looks a bargain at £1,200.

POXA prices all 46 parts that fit it. The damage takes the front end out and marks the engine down, as the car does not run. £2,459 of what is left should sell within 6 months. Take off your selling fees, your transport and processing and your £500 profit, and add the scrap, and there is £1,216 left for the hammer and the buyer fees.

So your max bid is £860. Paid £1,200 on the guess, the same car is expected to make £79 in 6 months. Won at £780, under your max, it is expected to make £601.

46 parts at the low end of 12 months of UK sales £7,634
Damage (front end, does not run) −£2,697
Not expected to sell within 6 months −£2,478
Expected sales in 6 months £2,459
Selling fees (18%) −£443
Scrap +£150
Transport and processing −£450
Your minimum profit −£500
Left for the hammer and the buyer fees £1,216
Your max bid £860
Paid on the guess £1,200 (expected profit £79 in 6 months)
Won under your max £780 (expected profit £601 in 6 months)

Illustrative example. A real POXA valuation of a real Copart car, with mid-October 2026 prices and the damage from its listing, at the extension's example buying numbers: £300 to process up to 30 parts, £500 minimum profit within 6 months, £150 transport, 18% selling fees and £150 scrap. Figures inc VAT. The bids are made up.

On Copart lot pages and live auctions.

POXA Breaker Value works on Copart UK, where you already buy. It never bids for you and never uncovers a VIN or reg on its own.

  • Live auctions. A POXA column sits beside the auction, with a badge on the car on the block and on the cars coming up: Buy with its max bid, or Pass.
  • Lot pages. Press Search Breaker Value under the VRN. It uncovers the reg for you, once, and POXA values the car.
  • Lists and watchlist. On sale lists, search results and your watchlist, click a car's VIN stars and its report opens in the side panel.
  • Any page. Type a VIN or UK reg into the side panel to value a car you have seen anywhere else.

POXA is not affiliated with Copart. Copart is named only to say which website the extension works with.

Every car you value, kept in Auctions.

Every Copart car you value, Buy or Pass, lands in Breaker Value › Auctions on your POXA account, with its photos, its auction and its max bid. Live cars move to Won or Lost when you mark them, with the hammer price, so your profit by day, week and month adds up as you buy.

Connect your online store and Performance matches each car you won by its VIN as its parts sell, then shows what it has sold for so far against what it should have made by now. You know which cars paid and which didn't, and your next bid is better for it.

Car won Hammer Days since Expected by now Sold so far
2020 Ford Fiesta ST-Line £780 60 £1,354 £1,462
2018 Ford EcoSport Titanium £610 60 £1,134 £1,240
2017 Ford Fiesta Zetec £560 30 £896 £640
2020 Vauxhall Corsa SE £490 60 £1,170 £1,260

Sales are matched in your connected online store. Planned: a direct link to yard stock systems.

Illustrative example. Each car's "expected by now" is what its parts should have sold for by that day at the example buying numbers. The hammer prices and the sales so far are made up.

POXA Breaker Value on the Chrome Web Store

What you need

  • A POXA account. The free plan includes 10 searches a month, and each new car uses one. A car you valued in the last 14 days opens again without using one.
  • A Copart UK membership, to uncover VINs and regs on the auction pages.
  • Chrome on a computer. Auctions on POXA then works on your phone too.

For anyone who buys cars to break.

  • Breakers. Bid on the cars whose parts sell, at a price that leaves your margin, and let the slow ones go.
  • ATFs. Know what a salvage car is worth in parts before you buy it, not after it is in the yard.
  • Salvage buyers. Go through more cars in an auction, faster, with a max bid on each one before it reaches the block.
  • Buying teams. Everyone bids to the same buying numbers, and every car bought is tracked against its sales.
